Driving, Dreaming, Drifting explores the impact of the automobile on the environment, mobility, and urban spaces, as well as on social power structures. The project questions notions of public space that are often shaped by control, exclusion, and hierarchies, with the car serving as a symbol of ownership, individualization, and dominance. The following insights showcase performances and installations presented during the third edition of the CURRENT Festival, as well as at two echo events at the Recyclart art center in Brussels and Sant Andreu Contemporani / Centre Cívic Sant Andreu in Barcelona.
