Julia Hainz lives and works as a performer and freelance artist in Frankfurt am Main. With her performances and installations, she focuses on developing forms of representation that make bodily knowledge and internalized norms visible and malleable. Currently, she is conducting research as a doctoral candidate at the University of Art and Design in Offenbach, exploring queer feminist genealogies in performance art. Since 2022, she has been an artistic collaborator at the University of Art in Kassel. Her works have been shown at Hangar in Barcelona, the Museum of Applied Arts in Frankfurt, the Württemberg Art Association in Stuttgart, the Kunstverein Schweinfurt, and the Young Urban Performance Festival in Osnabrück.
